Our story starts as many 21st century love stories do. A swipe here, a swipe there and eventually a swipe RIGHT! After plenty of left swipes, a coincidental swipe right led us on a fateful Tinder date, a very Canadian Tinder date. From showing up late for the Tim Hortons coffee date (thank you 401 Traffic), missing the axe throwing time, going to a Katsu restaurants with no vegetarian options, to the unexpected hilarity of ice skating mishaps. In those first five hours, we laughed, we spilled beer on a white sweater (oops!), and we knew there was something special between us.

After that memorable first date, we embarked on a journey of long-distance love. For three years, we navigated COVID, Lockdown, time zones and miles apart, finding ways to connect despite the distances and difficulties. Through late-night phone calls, surprise visits, and countless text messages, our bond only grew stronger.

Finally, after three years of longing to be in the same city, our wish came true. For the past two years, we've enjoyed the simple joys of sharing a meal, exploring our city together, and building a life side by side. From the delicious Nood's at Gene's to the delicious Chai in Derry, every moment has been a reminder of why we fought for our love and why we're meant to be together.

And now, as we stand on the brink of forever, we're filled with gratitude for the winding path that brought us here. Our journey has been filled with laughter, tears, and countless adventures, but through it all, our love has remained unwavering. We can't wait to continue to make each other laugh with horrible dad jokes, finding new restaurants with delicious food and dancing into our new life together to see what the future holds for us.
